As a partner of Light for the World, Girl Child Rights (GCR) took part, from 18 to 20 February 2026, in the Annual Partners’ Meeting of the InPower Programme.

A review of 2025

The meeting was a space for joint reflection on the results achieved over 2025. The partners reviewed:

  • the main progress made;
  • the challenges faced in implementation;
  • the lessons learned;
  • the improvement actions needed to extend the programme’s reach.

Who was there

The meeting brought together implementing partners, Government representatives and organisations of persons with disabilities, under the leadership of FAMOD, the Forum of Mozambican Associations of Persons with Disabilities. This format strengthens the programme’s coordination and multisectoral collaboration.

GCR’s work in InPower

In InPower, GCR works with Light for the World in Sofala province. Over 2025, this work included the launch of the “No Means No” component in schools in Beira and Nhamatanda, aimed at adolescents with and without disabilities, and the training of partners on establishing and facilitating inclusive safe spaces for women and girls, with particular attention to those living with disabilities.

About the programme

InPower is funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADA) and implemented in partnership with Light for the World in Sofala province, from 2023 to 2027.
